For the past few months i’ve had the pleasure of reviewing a natural libido and energy support supplement called Macabido™.
Before i get started with the review, i’d like to take the time to thank the guys at Macabido, for giving me the chance to review their wonderful product.
So with that being said, let’s get into what Macabido™ is and how it can help to optimize libido, energy and hormonal health.
Macabido is a clinically tested maca root based supplement, which contains synergistic nutrients such as herbs, vitamins and minerals, all of which help to increase libido, balance hormones and support male health.
Macabido® Men’s Formula is specifically designed for the sexual needs of men, with all-natural potency-enhancing ingredients that increase sexual desire, stamina, and performance while reducing stress and boosting overall energy and vitality.
Macabido as you can probably guess, contains the prized Peruvian superfood Maca root or Lepidium meyenii as it is known, which is native to the High Andes of Peru.
Maca root is considered to be a powerful adaptogen and adrenal gland support herb. Adaptogenic herbs help to increase the bodies resistance to stress and also balance endocrine/stress/sex hormones.
Macabido™ Men’s Formula also contains many other nutrients, which work in perfect synergy to maca for optimizing male health such as panax ginseng, royal jelly, zinc, fenugreek, ginkgo biloba, stinging nettle root, tribulus terrestris, saw palmetto and muira puama bark.
Macabido™ - Clinically Tested
As far as im aware, macabido is one of the few maca root based supplements on the market currently, which has also been clinically tested.
In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted in Germany, 60 women and 60 men were divided into three treatment groups.
The first group were given a placebo substance, the second group were given a typical maca preparation and the third group were given Macabido®.
The study concluded that Macabido had a greater effect than typical maca preparations alone for improving libido.
Macabido® appeared to be considerably more potent when it comes to supporting healthy energy levels, general well-being, and healthy sexual desire than standard maca preparations.

Review
I have now taken 3 bottles of Macabido™ Men’s Formula and feel i have a good gauge on being able to review the supplement.
One of the perks of running a small health food store over the past ten years, is that it has allowed me to experiment with lots of different medicinal herbs and natural supplements.
I have also personally dealt with chronic fatigue syndrome and adrenal gland/hpa-axis related health problems in the past, so i have a huge interest when it comes to botanical medicine for healing and adaptogenic herbs such as maca root specifically.
I also have a fair bit of prior experience of playing around with maca root in the past and have tried most of the common maca supplements on the market such as regular organic maca root powder, gelatinized maca and maca root extracts for example.
Some of the main health benefits i have received from taking macabido are a good increase in energy, a mild mood boost/anti-depressant effect, increased libido/sex drive and firmer muscles/leaner body composition.
I have found that macabido doubles up as an excellent “adaptogenic” herb supplement, due to the maca root and panax ginseng it contains.
As such, i have found macabido to be great for increasing energy levels, supporting the adrenal glands and protecting the body from stress. Stress is one of the most common factors for having a significant adverse effect on libido and sex drive.
Personally i have found macabido to be much superior and better tolerated to any of the other maca root based supplements i have tried previously.
Overall i would definitely recommend Macabido to anyone interested in trying maca root based supplements or adaptogenic herbs/natural libido boosters.
