Review

I picked up a bottle of the Matcha NOW Green Tea drink here in a local Marks and Spencers store at the weekend, not really fully understanding what it actually was at the time.

You never get long to read labels in Marks and Spencers with how busy it is usually, but when I seen the Matcha Green Tea on the label, I knew I had to pick up a bottle to review on the blog and wasn’t disappointed.

The MatchaNow 100% Pure Green Tea drink is a very novel method of consuming Matcha Green Tea.

Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder, which allows you to ingest the whole leaf and is thought to contain significantly higher levels of antioxidants, than simply infusing green tea.

I am a massive fan of Green Tea for its health benefits, which range from reducing cardiovascular disease risk to supporting the immune system to improving gum/oral health to it’s potent antioxidant support and anti-inflammatory properties.  Green Tea is an all round winner in my health cabinet and the best part is that it also tastes delicious.

Back to the MatchaNow 100% Pure Green Tea Drink….

The twist cap contains 2.5 grams of Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder.  All you do is simply, twist the cap and it releases the matcha into the water for whenever you are ready.

It is a really nifty way of consuming Matcha, especially when you are out and about, so  I will most likely be purchasing more again in the future and trying the other flavours in the range, to see how they compare.

They have managed to get the right quantity of water to the right quantity of Matcha powder, so the taste is very palatable and not bitter or clumpy as some Matcha powder’s can end up once mixed with water.  The water also tastes very crisp and pure.

I would definitely recommend our readers to check out MatchaNow’s Drinks if you are interested in trying a great tasting Matcha Green Tea.
